Tuesday:
5:30 (times fluctuate!) Beginning Spanish Flamenco - The Farm on Meridian Road. Taught by Anne Lippe. Entry level footwork, palmas and the Flamenco attitude. Class will include the basic movements. You must register for this class.
7:00-8:15pm Intermediate/Advanced Hawaiian Hula. In Step StudioTaught by Nancy Redig.
Advanced Hawaiian choreography with Hapa Haole,
Auana, and Kahiko music. Students must
register (no fee - just need to know you are coming) for this class.) Please note this class will meet on Wednesday night
for the first two weeks in February.
7:00 - 8:15 Middle Eastern Choreography Dance Class. In Step Studio Taught by Nancy Redig. Schedule varies with the need to catch up on troupe choreography. There is no fee for this class IF the student is taking another class at the studio. Announcements for this class will come in other classes.
7:00-8:30pm Middle Eastern Dance: Intermediate/Advanced. In Step Studio Regular classes are taught by Nancy Redig. Class includes precision hip work, culture and history, floor work, variety of finger cymbals patterns, veil work, and some choreography for various stylings of Middle Eastern dance. A dancer needs to have the basic movements of Middle Eastern dance before starting this class. $10.00 a class.
7:00 - 8:00 pm On Going Beginning Polynesian Dance Class - YMCA North Taught by Sharon Schwerzel. This is an on going, beginner's class with basics in Hawaiian Hula, Tahitian and Maori (New Zealand). The emphasis is on learning basic steps, beginner choreography and having fun. Free to YMCA members and $8.00 for nonmembers. This class will continue without a summer/fall break!
10:00-11:00am Tahitian Basics Workshops & Classes In Step Studio Taught by Nancy Redig. Class includes basic Tahitian movements, combinations, and a butt buster workout. No class on February 11th!! . $10.00 a class.
Private lessons and coaching for Hawaiian Hula, Middle Eastern Belly Dance, Middle Eastern drumming and Flamenco are available on request from professional staff. Our teachers have never stopped learning and are ready to bring their knowledge to you! These lessons are prepared for the specific level of each student or group of students. We have three performing troups Mau'oli'oli Dancers , Los Amigos de Florida, and Troupe Arabesque. Our groups enjoy our community, private party, and educational opportunities. All performers are drawn from the regular classes. Information on performances is provided during class cool down and stretch out. Special rehearsals are called as needed.
In Step Studio - 2609 Glover Road
is nestled in a woodsey area of south Leon county. The private studio is in the middle of 2 acres, has a yard full of 60 foot tall
Long Leaf pine trees and tall azalea bushes. Parking is anywhere along the semicircular drive way. Glover Road
is 3 miles south of the intersection of Capitol Circle and Crawfordville Road; it runs between
Wakulla Springs Road (SR 61) and Crawfordville Highway (US 319). The map quest web
site, Map quest does a good job of mapping the location.

In Step Studio has mirrors along one wall and the floor is a true floating floor
with mulitple foam layers under 2 layer of plywood and capped with a nearly indestructible dance floor covering. The studio has a great sound system and
lots of sunlight. My studio carries dance costuming, dance music and
various dance props.
